LOUISVILLE'S SLIGHT RETURN,

 2023

Picture
Trinity College! The Ballet Room? Do you remember the 32-gallon trash can full of Shiner Bock? The River Walk? The Menger?
Picture
Jeff Ruby's Steak House! With other orphans of Louisville. . .  Pete on piano.
Picture
The last pallets of essays, maybe . . . There is always another truck out there somewhere. Wait! These are wrapped and graded, on the way out.
Picture
You always got a t-shirt (you paid). Early Louisville.
Picture
The Table Leader Training Colosseum at the Louisville Convention Center, before the remodel!
Picture
Favorite table!
Picture
Looking for a picture of the "First Friday" crew that made it to Churchill Downs to catch a few races every year. The rag of knowledge is also a sought-after picture This is the famed "rag of knowledge, as it might have looked." Carl, I remember you and the crew fondly. "Just shut up and grade" was our great mantra.
Picture
Good People.
Picture
One of the best Table Leaders. Some of the San Antonio/back East (Princeton?) "Old Guard" Table Leaders made it for a short time to Louisville.
Picture
Paul joining for some betting, Churchill Downs.
Picture
This didn't last into the PC era! Having fun with student responses. I wish I knew who our great artist was, year after year.
Picture
Fried baloney sandwich and fun at a Bat's game!
Picture
Revolving over the Ohio River atop the Gault House.
Picture
Another fun table.
Picture
Orphans of the storm.
Picture
4th Street Live! Pole-vaulting seemed to always be there the day after most of the graders departed.
Picture
Legend, George Henry. You remember his coat (to the right)! Gault House bridge across Fourth Street. Remember the fish tank bar?
Picture
Other Patrons of Jeff Ruby's. Mother and daughter friends waiting for a concert at the "new" Yum Center.
Picture
The trucks keep bringing more essays! Remember, the poor table leaders had to stay to the bitter end.
Picture
Great table friends. I wish I had a dime for every time I bubbled my number, 47166!
Picture
Return Visit, 2023. Back to Jeff's to listen to Pete!
Picture
Return visit, 2023. Remembering the Brown Hotel.
